I've decided that if somebody wants to run a great business, one of the best things they can do to stand out from their competitors is to make sure the products that they sell are of the quality people expect them to be. Recently I've been moving into a new apartment, and every piece of furniture we've tried to put together has been missing pieces. And not even just one or two little nails. One of the items was actually missing 16 screws and a shelf. Fortunately most of the companies have been nice enough to give us a discount on the items we bought, but after countless trips to the hardware store, I think I would have rather gone out of my way to buy the furniture from a store where I could trust that the product I was buying would be complete and of good quality. I realize that good news doesn't spread as fast as bad news, but when your customers are stressed out and just want something to go right the first time, they will remember the companies they trust the most.
